When we think of a psychic many still have the image of the Romani.
Hollywood has turned a natural ability that we are all born with into a magical and mystical unattainable ability that only the chosen few are able to reach even though there are those in our society who have been able to attain what is considered "enlightenment" it still seems to distant to the average person.
Is it really though?
According to the internet;
A psychic is a person who claims to use extrasensory perception to identify information hidden from the normal senses, particularly involving telepathy or clairvoyance, or who performs acts that are apparently inexplicable by natural laws, such as psychokinesis or teleportation.
Our answer however is somewhat different. Anyone can be a psychic because we are all born with the abilities needed to be classified as a Psychic. The specific targeted abilities that are mentioned above are the more popularly used abilites that Hollywood has drastically blown out of proportion.
Telepathy is something very simple like, have you ever been thinking about someone and your phone rings, it's them or had a bad gut feeling when thinking about someone and finding out that they have been in an accident?
Clairvoyance can be as simple as gut instint about what direction you take to work on any given morning. It doesn't have to be a vision of the possible outcome of your decision, but you have a reaction to the idea of taking the same way to work so you change it. You don't know why, but you do. Later you find out there was accident on that route, you would have been late, or worse, you couldn't have been in the middle of that accident.
Like many of the instinctual abilities we have as children, psychic abilities are dismissed as we grow older and replaced with more logical and direct forms of interacting with one another to build our society. If as children these abilities were nurtured instead of replaced I wonder what our world would look like? More empathy towards others? Perhaps there would be a better physical/emotional/spiritual balance in all of us.
If you still question your phychic abilities then do your research. Talk to people who are willing to speak on their experiences and see how you feel after.
